Marion is named for my great-grandmother Marion Davis, who was a wonderful woman I've been told. Her middle name was quite a topic for much of my pregnancy, and it was more of a game-time decision...actually, a suggestion from a delivery room nurse! However, we do have a special cousin named Elisabeth who revealed to us the wonderful family story about Maid Marion, Robin Hood, and Peter Pan.
Marion Davis is pictured in the bottom left here. Her son (my grandfather) Jefferson Davis is beside her. In the back are Marion's mother-in-law (my great, great grandmother) "Money" Davis, and Marion's husband (my great-grandfather), Wesley Davis.
My grandparents, Jefferson and Marjorie Davis' wedding, are pictured in the center. Marion, Papa Jeff's mother, is to the right of my grandmother Mac.
